Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring to the yoga class?

You will need to bring a sticky yoga mat, a blanket, and a yoga block or small cushion to sit on.

I have a small supply of yoga blocks for students to borrow and usually bring a spare mat for those newcomers who may wish to try the class out before committing to the purchase of equipment!

You may wish to bring a drink although water is available at the class venue.

What should I wear?

Wear something that is loose and comfortable and which enables you to move freely. We practise the postures in bare feet so no need for special footwear.

Do I need to be flexible to come to a yoga class?

No, you do not need to have a flexible body to practice yoga. You will be encouraged to start from where your body and mind are right now. You will be shown how to adapt and vary the yoga postures to suit your needs. Over time you will notice that your body will release and naturally become more supple.

Are the classes suitable for beginners?

Yes, clear and detailed instructions are provided, and you will guided to work at an appropriate level for your experience and ability.
